Nissan pulled off a cornucopia of intriguing new models at the London show – with some pretty weird extremes, as practical family cars jostled for attention with supercars and tallboy square city cars. What's new on Nissan's London motor show stand? Proudly displaying its patriotism, Nissan pulled the covers of its Sunderland-built Qashqai+2 – one of the few real global debuts at the show.
Skoda Octavia vRS gets a facelift and a titivate to bring it in line with the rest of the range
In keeping with the changes made to the rest of the Octavia range late last year, Skoda has now rolled out the new look for the vRS (and the Scout) to bring the family looks to the whole range. Up-front you get a redesigned grill with a vRS logo and the option of xenons with adaptive lighting. You also get a set of front fog lamps with optional cornering, and some daylight running LEDs.

Every performance car, MPV and large saloon on sale today is under threat from proposed legislation limiting CO2 emissions to an average of 120g/km by 2012, CAR Online has learned. EU environment commissioner Stavros Dimas is expected to announce the shock new directive in the next few days - it's designed to force companies to meet tough targets or face big fines. CAR Online has uncovered details of the proposals before they are published.
